I drew the illustration of this bear a few months before figuring out how I wanted to create the setting for it. I have a connection with bears from my time in Tahoe and from being a native Californian. This piece draws on my imagination living in those two connections. I think this one is a nice pair with “Laguna Royalty” and adds another to my ongoing series of royal animals.

This particular piece is created with fourteen separate layers of silk screening with acrylic screen inks on fine archival printmaking paper. Each print is signed, numbered and presented with finished edges.
