Mountains Embrace Their Wings
Mountains Embrace Their Wings
2025
27" x 21"
Limited edition of 48
This scene is one from my memory and imagination at the same time. I love hiking along a trail and suddenly coming across a surprising new landscape feature like a pond or a tiny redwood forest. This little pond oasis is like a few I have delighted in amongst the landscapes here in Northern California. These waters are often much enjoyed and relied upon by the local birds and all the wildlife in the area as well.
Our natural landscapes and my love of birds were the inspirations for this piece. To help the birds that inspire some of my works, I will be donating $5 from each print sale of this edition to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology which has greatly helped me with my education and enjoyment of birds. You can read more about how they helped foster my passion for birding, and some of their programs on my blog HERE.
The piece is composed of 20 separate layers of silk screening with acrylic screen inks on archival paper. Each print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, sold unframed, and presented with finished edges. This piece can be matted to fit nicely in a 24” x 30” standard size frame.
You can read more about the making of this piece and see some process photos on my blog HERE
**This print has a variable sky as you can see from the last couple of images. A majority of them are more similar in color balance to the one in the feature image, but some of them skew more blue or more pink. Please let me know if you have a preference along the line of variation in the notes section. If you would like to see your specific print first please email me to make an appointment in my studio, or make an appointment for a video call.
