Listening for the Silence of Twilight
Listening for the Silence of Twilight
2024
20" x 26"
Limited edition of 50
There is family of barn owls that nest every year in a neighbors tree. While creating this piece I would wait for the male to leave the nest at night during twilight hours to catch a glimpse of him. It’s a truly magical time for lighting as the night sets in and its creatures come out, and left me full of inspirations. This piece is a continuation of portraits of some of my favorite birds. It is so enjoyable for me to live in their wonder while I work on these pieces and afterwards too.
My love of birds was the inspirations for this piece, so help the birds that inspire some of my works, I will be donating $5 from each print sale of this edition to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology which has greatly helped me with my education and enjoyment of birds. You can read more about how they helped foster my passion for birding, and some of their programs on my blog HERE.
The piece is composed of 19 separate layers of silk screening with acrylic screen inks on archival paper. Each print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, sold unframed, and presented with finished edges. This will piece fit well with matting in a standard size frame of 24” x 30”.
