A love of pelicans started to develop with my trips to Half Moon Bay in the fall as there are many thousands of them congregating there that time of year. Kayaking among hundreds perched on rocks, watching flocks fly over head in Ano Nuevo State Park, and driving across the golden gate bridge while they are soaring above you out to the ocean have all been inspirational pelican moments. They have appeared in paintings and prints but after the most recent visits with them, I knew at least one needed a portrait.

This is a one of a kind painting, layering screen printing and hand painting. Screen printing and acrylic on fabric and wood panel. The piece is signed and presented on a wood panel, wired and ready to hang.
